Présentation :
Quantum thermodynamics is a rapidly growing field that develops at the crossroad between quantum information, quantum open systems and stochastic thermodynamics. It raises new and exciting questions, that can be foundational : what is the origin of irreversibility in the quantum realm ? can coherent engines outperform classical ones ? or applied : What is the energetic cost of running a quantum algorithm ? of stabilizing a quantum state ? In this talk I will provide an overview of the field before focusing on recent proposal aimed at extracting energy from quantum measurements.
